Privacy

Short version: your resumes stay in your browser. We don't run analytics or ads. If you choose to use the optional AI suggestions, only the text for that task leaves your device, and never your name or contact details.

Your resumes

• Resumes are saved in this browser's local storage (IndexedDB) on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers.
• PDFs are made in your browser. Backup files are saved straight to your device.
• Because they live in the browser, clearing site data, using a private window or switching device means you won't see them. Download a backup file to keep a copy.

What we don't do

• No analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and no tracking cookies.
• Fonts and all other files are served from resumestack.in itself, so loading a page doesn't contact other companies.
• We don't sell personal data or share it for advertising.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical details of each request, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.

Optional account (only for AI suggestions)

You never need an account to make or download a resume. During the beta, AI suggestions are for invited people only.

• What the account holds: your email address, and a count of how many AI requests you made each day. It never holds resume content.
• Where: with Supabase, our sign-in and database provider, in its Mumbai (India) region.
• How long: daily counts are kept for 30 days to enforce limits and spot abuse, then deleted. Your email is kept until you delete the account.
• Sign-in: we email you a one-time link; there is no password. Your sign-in is remembered in this browser's local storage until you sign out.
• Invite list: if you were invited, your email address is on our invite list. Email us to be removed.

AI suggestions

When you ask for a suggestion, the text for that task goes from your browser to our server, which sends it to an AI model:

• What is sent: for a summary, your current summary, headline, total experience, job titles, employers and skills; for bullets, one job's title, employer and bullets; for tailoring, the job description you paste plus your headline, summary, skills and bullets.
• Never sent: your name, email address, phone number, city or links.
• Our server doesn't store or log the text or the reply. Logs record only the type of request, whether it worked, and how long it took.
• Who processes it: our server sends the request through OpenRouter to one of these model providers: Phala, Google AI Studio or Cohere. We only allow providers that say they don't train on the data they receive. They may keep it for a limited time, for example to check for abuse, under their own privacy policies.
• Nothing changes in your resume until you choose to use a suggestion.

Deleting your data

• One resume: use Delete next to it on the Your resumes page.
• Everything in this browser: use the button below.
• Your AI account: sign in, open the AI assistant step in any resume, and choose Delete your account. This removes your email address and usage counts.
